Kin-Code is a terminal-based AI coding assistant written entirely in Go, born from the chaos of Anthropic's accidental Claude Code source code leak on March 31, 2026. The project is a ground-up reimplementation that ships as a single 9MB binary with zero runtime dependencies — no Node.js, no Python, no package manager required. The tool supports multiple provider backends (Anthropic, OpenAI, Ollama), making it fully functional with local models. It packs ten built-in tools including bash execution, file operations, web search, and memory management.
