That's a real problem — the last 20% of agentic coding tasks always died on the vine because the agent couldn't close the loop with version control. The DX bet is right too: VS Code extension means zero context-switching and the API surface means you can wire it into your own tooling without adopting Anthropic's entire platform. My one hard question is whether the CI/CD awareness is genuine pipeline parsing or just grep-for-yaml, and the announcement doesn't answer that. Ships because the primitive is honest and the integration story is composable, not platform-capture.”
