The moment of truth is whether that sub-400ms latency claim holds under real PSTN conditions with actual ASR jitter — Bland hasn't published methodology, so I'm treating it as a target, not a guarantee. Still, this is not replaceable with a weekend Lambda; real-time bidirectional audio over phone networks with acceptable latency is genuinely hard infrastructure, and shipping that behind a clean SDK is earned.”
