But the completeness problem is significant: a user cannot fully switch to Weave 2.0 for agent evals today without also maintaining their existing observability stack, their own judge prompt library, and a separate ground-truth dataset curation process that Weave doesn't help with. The onboarding story for someone not already in W&B is rough — the value proposition requires too much prior context about W&B's run model before the eval-specific features make sense. The product has a point of view on how evals should run (automated, versioned, judge-scored) but punts on the hardest problem: what makes a good eval dataset? Until Weave has an opinion on that, it's a pipeline runner for a dataset you already had to build yourself, which is half a product.
