Black Forest Labs has shipped FLUX.2, a full new family of image generation and editing models. The headline release is FLUX.2 [dev] — a 32-billion parameter open-weight model on HuggingFace under a non-commercial license — which the team claims is the most capable open-weight image generation and editing model available. FLUX.2 [pro] is available via API with state-of-the-art quality and up to 4MP editing, while FLUX.2 [klein] (Apache 2.0, smaller and faster) is coming soon. The standout new capability is multi-reference image inputs: you can feed in multiple source images and FLUX.2 preserves faces, products, and subjects when changing backgrounds, lighting, or pose.
