Open Agents is an open-source reference application from Vercel Labs for building and running background AI coding agents — the kind that work on tasks without keeping your laptop involved. It bundles the web UI, agent runtime, sandbox orchestration, and GitHub integration in one deployable package. The agent runs outside the sandbox VM and interacts with it through tools, enabling sandbox hibernation and resumption without interrupting agent execution.
