The DX bet is correct — they moved the hard state machine (who's speaking, when to interrupt, what to do when the user cuts off mid-sentence) into the SDK layer so you don't have to write that finite state machine yourself the third time. First 10 minutes gets you to a working voice loop with function calling without touching raw WebSocket framing, which is the actual painful part.
